This website, dekadentallasers.com, is operated by DEKA Dental Lasers, 400 North Ashley Drive, Suite 2600, Tampa, Florida 33602. In this policy, “DEKA,” “we” and “us” mean DEKA Dental Lasers.
The site is built for dental professionals and their teams. It covers our lasers, education and events, our online store, and resources for DEKA practices.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Inquiries. Your name, practice, email, phone number and message when you fill in a contact, demo or referral form, or when you call us.
- Courses and events. Your name, practice, contact details and attendance information when you register for a course, webinar or event.
- Orders. Your name, practice, billing and shipping address, email, phone number and order details when you buy from our store.
- Accounts. Your login details and profile if you create a store account or are given access to our doctor resources.
Information collected automatically
When you visit, your browser sends us standard technical information: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and the site that referred you. Cookies and similar tools collect some of this. See Cookies and analytics.
When you call a phone number shown on this site, our call-tracking provider records which page or campaign led to the call, along with the caller’s number and the call details.
How we use it
- To answer your questions and arrange demonstrations.
- To process, ship and support your orders, including sending order confirmations and tracking updates.
- To register you for courses and events and send you the details you need to attend.
- To run your account and give you access to resources for DEKA practices.
- To understand how the site is used so we can improve it, and to measure which of our advertising works.
- To protect the site, our customers and DEKA against fraud, spam and abuse.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
Payments
Card and bank payments in our store are handled by our payment processor, iPOSpays. Your card or bank details go to the processor to authorize the payment. We do not store full card numbers on this website. The processor handles your payment information under its own privacy policy and the payment-card industry’s security standards.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with companies that help us run this site and our business, and only what each one needs for its job.
- Payments
- iPOSpays processes card and bank payments.
- Shipping
- UPS receives the name, address and phone number needed to deliver your order, and provides tracking.
- Email delivery
- Mailgun sends our order, account and event emails.
- Hosting
- Kinsta hosts this website and its database.
- Analytics
- Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, measures how visitors use the site.
- Call and form tracking
- CallTrackingMetrics records calls to our tracked numbers and some form submissions, so we know which pages and campaigns lead to inquiries.
- Registration forms
- Some course and event registrations use forms hosted by Jotform.
- Spam and security
- Google reCAPTCHA checks forms and checkout for automated abuse. Wordfence protects the site against attacks.
- Video
- Some pages embed YouTube videos. Playing one lets YouTube collect information under Google’s privacy policy.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business.
Email from us
If you order, register or create an account, we send you emails about it: confirmations, shipping and tracking updates, event details and account notices. These are part of the service and cannot be turned off while the order, registration or account is active.
Any marketing email we send includes a way to unsubscribe. You can also ask us to stop at any time using the details in Contact us.
How long we keep it
We keep order and payment records as long as tax, accounting and warranty obligations require. We keep inquiry, registration and account information while we have a working relationship with you, and for a reasonable time afterwards. When we no longer need information, we delete or anonymize it.
Security
The site uses encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Administrator accounts require two-factor authentication, and the site is monitored for attacks. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and limit who can see it.
Your choices
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct information that is wrong; or
- delete your information, except what we must keep for legal, tax or accounting reasons.
If you have a store account, you can update your details yourself under My account. For anything else, contact us. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request. Depending on where you live, your state’s law may give you further rights, and we will honor them.
Patient information
This website is not a channel for patient records. Please do not send us patient health information through our forms, email or the store. If you need to share patient information with DEKA for clinical or service support, contact us first and we will arrange an appropriate way to do it.
Children
This site is for dental professionals. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Other websites
Links to other websites, such as course partners and social media, take you to sites we do not control. Their own privacy policies apply.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our site and services change. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page.
